Brainstorm Multimedia, industry-leading 3D real-time graphics and virtual set solutions provider, announces Version 1.2 of Aston 3D, the advanced graphics creation and playout system. Aston 3D V1.2 is the result of feedback from 3D graphic designers and CG operators around the world and as a main new development it features a new CG mode that blends the traditional CG approach with the advantages of templating.
Along with speed optimization in all its processes, with Version 1.2 Aston 3D becomes a self-sufficient, complete graphics suite where graphics and templates co-exist with the traditional CG pages, which can be renamed, previewed, called and edited to perform last-minute changes using Aston 3D complete feature set, or with the Aston 3D optional dedicated keyboard. These new features further enhance the Aston 3D family, which now has become an even more versatile product line, starting from a simple-to-operate yet sophisticated creation application, all the way through to an integrated and multi-purpose creation and playout system. With this complete range, Aston 3D adds further flexibility to its vast power offering excellent performance to graphics departments all the way through to remote locations and OB vans.
According to David Alexander, Brainstorm’s Commercial Director, “Aston 3D is the ultimate real-time 3D graphics and CG system, and delivers all the power and versatility of eStudio, the core render engine within the system. After its release at NAB this year, we have incorporated numerous suggestions from customers and users, making Aston 3D an even more complete and flexible solution for all types of broadcast graphics and CG.”
Aston 3D is a complete and comprehensive graphics solution built to be the center of any design department and from there, through to CG and playout, fulfilling all the requirements of broadcasters, production services providers and design houses.
Being MOS compatible and dual channel ready, the Aston 3D integrates seamlessly with collaborative environments such as newsroom systems, video servers, NLEs and other 3rd party applications to quickly and easily produce stunning graphics in a wide range of demanding requirements including fast turnaround news and sports environments, through to branding, finance, weather, elections, game shows and other graphics intense real-time on-air programs.
