Brainstorm Multimedia, industry-leading 3D real-time graphics and virtual set solutions provider, announced at IBC 2013 (stand 2.B59) its support for the new generation of the Nvidia Quadro K6000 GPU. The K6000 is fully compatible with Brainstorm’s product line, and significantly increases the performance of eStudio, already the world’s fastest real-time 3D graphics and virtual studio engine. Other Brainstorm products, such as Aston 3D or EasySet 3D also benefit from the K6000 performance to increase the amount and complexity of simultaneous real-time effects and objects in a project, which will be demonstrated at Brainstorm’s Virtual Set Show at IBC 2013.
According to Héctor Viguer, Brainstorm’s Engineering Director, “Brainstorm products are already regarded as the fastest in the industry for real-time graphics, and with the new Quadro K6000 GPU we are able to increase the number and complexity of the objects and effects shown in real-time. This allows designers to create more elaborate and realistic projects without compromising the graphics performance and real-time rendering quality”.
“The Quadro K6000 is the highest performance, most capable GPU ever built”, says Sandeep Gupte, Senior Director of Product Marketing for the Quadro professional graphics business at NVIDIA. “It helps 3D broadcast graphics software manufacturers such as Brainstorm to provide higher quality results, allowing real-time effects never seen before in television”.
The NVIDIA Quadro K6000 GPU is based on the NVIDIA Kepler™ architecture – the world’s fastest, most efficient GPU architecture. Key performance features and capabilities include 12GB ultra-fast GDDR5 graphics, 2,880 streaming multiprocessor (SMX) cores, support of four simultaneous displays and up to 4k resolution with DisplayPort™ 1.2 and ultra-low latency video I/O and support for large-scale visualizations.
