Brainstorm Multimedia, leading manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics and virtual set solutions, announces the release of its new 3D Importer module, which significantly increases the compatibility of the company’s products with most of the common, new and open 3D file formats, a basic and essential capability in the broadcast industry where collaborative workflows are common.
Brainstom’s 3D Importer is now available and included as standard at no additional cost within the Aston 3D range of products, as well as the Infinity Set. It will be shortly incorporated in all the company’s product range as a free update, and it will also be available free of charge to existing Brainstorm customers.
The formats supported by 3D Importer are Collada (.dae ), Blender 3D (.blend ) , 3ds Max 3DS (.3ds ), Autodesk (.fbx), 3ds Max ASE (.ase ), Wavefront Object (.obj ), Industry Foundation Classes (IFC/Step) (.ifc ), XGL (.xgl,.zgl ), Stanford Polygon Library (.ply ), LightWave (.lwo ), LightWave Scene (.lws ), Modo (.lxo ), Stereolithography (.stl ), DirectX X (.x ), AC3D (.ac ) and Milkshape 3D (.ms3d ).
