Brainstorm Multimedia announces its participation in NOVA (Next-generation Open Virtual Worlds & Web 4.0 Alliance in Europe), a Horizon Europe project aimed at strengthening Europe’s leadership in the development of open, interoperable, trustworthy and human-centric Virtual Worlds and Web 4.0 technologies.

Running from May 2026 to April 2029, NOVA supports the establishment and operation of the European Partnership on Virtual Worlds and the European Initiative on Web 4.0, bringing together industry, research organisations and other stakeholders to define common strategic priorities for the future of immersive digital environments.

The project will develop strategic research and innovation agendas, roadmaps and recommendations to promote technological innovation, interoperability, standardisation and the adoption of Virtual Worlds across different sectors.

As a project partner, Brainstorm contributes its expertise in real-time 3D graphics, virtual production and Extended Reality (XR), supporting the identification of industry needs, stakeholder engagement and exploitation strategies. Through NOVA, Brainstorm reinforces its commitment to advancing immersive technologies and strengthening Europe’s Virtual Worlds ecosystem.
